Your first hours of SQL, on a real set of company books.

A one-page SQL Basics reference (SELECT, WHERE, ORDER BY, GROUP BY, HAVING, JOIN, LIMIT and CASE), each with a query on Clearstone's books and the result it returns, and fifteen starter exercises from a first SELECT to a CASE that changes the answer. The answer key gives the SQL and the result of every exercise.

The four Clearstone tables come with it as CSV files: budget lines, invoices, cash movements and departments, in euros, as of 1 January 2027. Some faults are left in, as in real books, and the exercises show what to do about them.

The SQL is DuckDB, the engine of the LucidPlexus workbench; the answer key says what to change for SQL Server, PostgreSQL and MySQL. A README says how to start: in the browser with the first two lessons of the Follow the Money Academy course, free with an account, or with DuckDB on your computer.

ZIP: two PDFs (one A4 landscape page and four A4 pages), four CSV files, a DuckDB load script and the README.
