The Monday finance dashboard tile by tile, and the right chart for each finance question.

Two A4 pages on Clearstone's books from Follow the Money, in euros, as of 1 January 2027. Page one says when a reader needs a report, a dashboard or an infographic, then builds the finance lead's four-tile Monday dashboard with the DuckDB query behind each number, the alert rule behind each status, a week-on-week comparison, and the lines every tile and chart should carry.

Page two draws three real charts from the data, each beside its query: budget variance by department, the aging of overdue receivables, and net cash by activity. It then shows four ways a true chart misleads on the same books: a truncated axis, a running total that reads as growth (drawn beside the yearly values), two y-axes, and a pie with too many similar slices.

Every number and every chart comes from a query on the data. The SQL is DuckDB, as in the LucidPlexus workbench, with a note on what to change for other databases. PDF to print, and an HTML version to read on screen.
